Dudmaston Hall – National Trust

Dudmaston Hall has been a much loved family home for over 875 years.  The estate, managed by the National Trust has woodland parkland and sweeping gardens to explore and a quirky house with a surprise.  There are Cadbury Easter Egg trails for the children during the Easter holidays.

Patshull Park is also within an easy drive of a number of chocolate box market towns where you can visit independent shops, cafes and markets and while away many pleasant hours.


Bridgnorth is a pretty little town in the Severn valley.  It has a historic high town and a low town connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain.  It is also the home of the Severn Valley Railway where you can take a ride on a steam train through the Shropshire countryside.

Much Wenlock

Much Wenlock is dotted with black and white Tudor frame houses, independent shops and cafes and traditional pubs.  Wonder around the peaceful monastic ruins of Wenlock Priory managed by English Heritage.  Or visit the Much Wenlock Museum to discover more about the birth of the modern Olympic movement with a collection of Olympian memorabilia.


Ludlow is the gem of South Shropshire, full of character, charm and history.  It is well known for its’ many excellent restaurants and eateries and is celebrated as the foodie capital of the Marches.  You can explore the castle, built in 1086, that sits high above the river Teme with Norman, Medieval and Tudor architecture.   Or enjoy a day out at Ludlow Races, a small and friendly National Hunt racecourse.
